Streancán

Streancán is an energetic group of musicians from counties Longford, Leitrim & Cavan. They have been playing music together from a very young age.

Streancán were finalists in the 2024 and 2025 editions of the Siansa Gael Linn competition in the National Concert Hall in Dublin. Under the tutorship of Owen Smith & Darren Culliney, the group has focused on local repertoire and compositions, including The Mullinalaghta Shout, the winning newly composed tune at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2023, composed by group member Aoibhínn Lynch, and Micheál’s Trip to Castlebar, composed by group member Tiarnán Kellegher.
